Great little aquarium, made well, innovation at its best! Needs some improvement but to be expected from a brand new product! The EcoQube is really a nice aquarium and I love the idea behind it. The aquarium itself needs a little work but over all its pretty amazing. The cube is the first of its kind that I'm aware of. My only complaints about EcoQube would be that the light stand is not built very well, It wont stay up on its own without leaning or sliding down and if it falls down it will crush the plant growing underneath. I had to prop mine up with 5 Popsicle sticks and that's only after several fell down inside the aquarium backing never to be seen again. I think if this design flaw was fixed this would be awesome but having the aquarium is totally worth figuring out a way to remedy this issue. Also being a startup company they haven't come up with a actual information booklet for instructions. They print off instructions on paper for you but its not very clear. I'm sure as they grow and change they will remedy this. I see a lot of complaints about what EcoQube comes with but as far as I can tell its stated clearly what is and isn't included on the site. I think that it should come with what is needed to maintain the fish tank, but as far as the remote, and decorations.. it doesn't cost that much to go an buy some pebbles and decorations for your aquarium, after all that is part of the fun, designing your own look and environment inside the aquarium in stead of getting the same look as everyone elses. Also the remote isn't for this particular aquarium. Controls are included and attached to the wires in back. The controls included works great its just not "remote". A remote would not be necessary, but an optional accessory. I love the led lights and the storm simulation. Its very pretty and works great! My aquarium is in the stage of growing my basil plant so I haven't added a fish yet, but even with just some cheap rocks and plants, mine is very relaxing and pretty to look at. I am excited about being part of something awesome and I hope that EcoQube comes out with some aquariums of differing sizes and shapes. This is a great learning experience and I can see it being used in classrooms also! Over all I think EcoQube is well designed, made with quality materials and is totally innovative. I purchased this item at a discount for testing purposes. I take this seriously and always give a well thought out and honest review. I always welcome questions so please don't hesitate to ask.
