It stands upright on a flat bottom which is very handy. After putting one AA battery in it, it works well and has a little light for better visualization. It also comes with a little brush. When my hubby got home I used it on him and it really did a good job and although I wasnt really being too careful it never hurt him, it only tickled him. It also was able to get the hairs along the wall of his inner septum, so it cuts pretty close which is nice :) It has nonslip rubber grips along the sides which would be handy if your hands are wet. It's also waterproof so protected against dropping in the sink or for use in the shower. It's a thumbs up from us!
