We adopted a chihuahua (see pics) that can be aggressive and barks and growls incessantly at anyone other than my family. He has gotten a whole lot better with our love and devotion. I saw this product and thought I would give it a try. It arrived very quickly, it included all you see in the included pictures. It was easy to assemble and I sized it to my dog. Soon the dogs were barking and it went off with a high pitched tone and a yelp from my dog. He also whines sometimes and it shocked him several times when he whined. The dog doesn't come when I call him but he frantically searched me out and came when I called him and I took it off and comforted him. The next day I tried it again by pressing the minus button to lower the sensitivity, and I had to increase it again cause it didn't go off. Then it did go off, but only when he barked and now he's not barking every time when he hears a knock but looks inquisitive at the door instead. I think it works well and is made of quality materials. I suggest adjusting the sensitivity so it doesn't give unnecessary shocks and therefore become counterproductive, especially in sensitive dog breeds like Chihuahuas. I suggest turning it to lowest setting when you get it and starting out on lowest setting. It is a tad big on my dogs neck, see pics but doesn't seem uncomfortable or too heavy for him. My only misgiving is that the strap tends to loosen on its own, and I have to keep tightening it for it to work. I plan on putting a stitch in it to keep it where i want it. It needs a good connection to your dog's skin to work. I clipped my dogs neck hair to get a good connection as the directions stated. I like that it shocks in increasing stages and think that is more humane. This product is very well made and one that truly will work on all size dogs which is a major plus.
